ECI 2012 are delighted to invite you to attend the Official Opening Ceremony in the Clyde Auditorium, SECC on Wednesday, 5th September between the hours of 18.00 – 19.30
Nobel Prize Winner, Sir Martin Evans, will deliver the keynote lecture at the Opening Ceremony followed by a welcome to Glasgow and Scotland from the Lord Provost.

EFIS and BSI welcome you to Glasgow for what we hope will be a fabulous Congress from both a scientific and social stand point. We start by inviting you to a Civic Reception hosted by the City of Glasgow following on from the ECI 2012 Opening Ceremony. We hope it will be an opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones whilst enjoying typical Scottish Fayre and entertainment.

The ECI 2012 Congress Party will be held in The Arches. Set in Grade A-listed Victorian vaults, located in the heart of the city centre, underneath Glasgow Central train station, The Arches is a truly unique and stunning venue perfect for the ECI 2012 Congress Party.
The Congress Party will cater for all ages and tastes. There will be whisky tasting, music from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, a games room, disco and much more ……..

Professor Foo Liew, ECI 2012 President will host a dinner in the magnificent setting of Bute Hall, a stunning Victorian Hall with intricate woodwork and stained glass featured throughout. The evening’s proceedings will begin with a drinks reception held in the breathtaking Hunterian Museum, Scotland’s oldest Public Museum
